Life in Paris

From 1930 to 1939, Miller lived in Paris where he served as the European editor for the American magazine "Phoenix." It was during this time that he shocked readers with his provocative works.

Works and Controversy

Miller's most famous works are his autobiographical novels "Tropic of Cancer" (1934) and "Tropic of Capricorn" (1939), both of which were written and published in France.
