Janice Dean Biography

Janice Dean is a popular Canadian-born American meteorologist, television show host, and author based in New York City. She is presently a co-host and weather anchor on Fox and Friends on the Fox News Channel.

Dean worked in various radio and television stations in Canada and the United States before joining Fox News Channel, including CHEZ-FM and WCBS-TV.

Janice was born in Toronto, Ontario, and grew up in Ottawa, and graduated from Algonquin College.

She worked as a bylaw enforcement officer in Canada before commencing her career in television.

Dean’s application for the Seal of Approval from the American Meteorological Society was approved in 2009. The Seal is not a certification in meteorology. The AMS is no longer accepting applications for the Seal of Approval Program, which was established in 1957 as a way to reward on-air personalities for their sound delivery of weather information to the general public.
